Rochester residents trudge through snow after wintry weather

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Winter weather blasted the Rochester area and Finger Lakes overnight, with some areas getting more than a foot of snow.

Early Friday morning, utility crews were working there to clean up a pole that fell. Crews say a car slipped and ran into the pole. In Rochester, drivers said that they were ready for this, so they allotted some extra travel time.

"I knew what I was expecting this morning," said Emily Bielewicz, Rochester. "To prepare, I don't think I got up early enough cause I didn't realize how much was going to be on the car. The road doesn't seem that bad. It's just the amount on the car."

"It wasn't that bad," said Katie Olivia, Rochester. "We've seen worse. I was thinking, 'Oh no I have to shovel but it wasn't so bad when we got out here...' Could be worse, could be feet [of snow]... upstate New York!"
