An empty tractor-trailer was blown over on the New York State Thruway on Sunday afternoon, causing a closure.
NITTEC reports the crash caused the right lane of I-90 Eastbound to be closed near the William Street exit.
In a tweet, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said the tractor-trailer was empty and violated the Governor’s ban on empty tractor trailers from NY highways. The ban began at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Poloncarz said the driver is “ok” but was ticketed by police for violating the ban.
