While crews were fine tuning vehicles for the first race, fans had time to entertain themselves Friday morning before the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race.
Fans gathered at The Bog in Watkins Glen International where K&N Pro Series drivers signed autographs.
Bryce Orfanides, a race fan from Bath, N.Y. tells 18 News these drivers are the future stars of NASCAR.
“You got several of them who are just tearing up the track, winning races and winning poles, don’t be surprised when they’re up there racing like Jimmie Johnson some day,” said Orfanides.
It’s not every day NASCAR fans get to meet their favorite drivers but Elias Orfanides, who is also from Bath says he meets his favorite drivers all the time.
“I got to meet up with the Kanaan guys, I know a few of them because I talk to a lot of them on Twitter,” said Orfanides. “I meet up with them at other tracks, some of them knew me from other experiences so they’re cool to meet.”
From signing autographs to small talk, fans really appreciated the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite drivers.
