Razorsharks Hand Buffalo First Loss

Sports

The RazorSharks were home this weekend to take on the undefeated Buffalo 716ers. The ‘Sharks started off slow, but were able to take the lead halfway through the second half despite an impressive defensive effort by the 716ers. The RazorSharks were able to keep their lead throughout the remainder of a very physical contest by way of a dominant defense and versatile offense, under the leadership of new head coach Chris Iversen.

Troy Jackson led the RazorSharks with 20 points. Jerice Crouch, Raheem Singleton, Melvin Council, and Josh Chichester all assisted Jackson by recording double digit point totals. The addition of “Radio” Raheem Singleton proved effective, as he added a necessary spark to the RazorSharks’ offense. The RazorSharks shot 44% from the field, helping them score over 100 points once again. Mark St. Fort led the way defensively, recording 4 blocks and 4 defensive boards. The RazorSharks forced 22 turnovers, had 39 defensive rebounds, 7 steals, and 9 blocks on their way to an impressive 104-91 win over the previously undefeated Buffalo 716ers.

The RazorSharks look to stay hot, when they host the New England Shamrocks on Thursday, February 11 at 7:00 pm.
