Victor’s bid for a 3rd straight state title got a scare Saturday thanks to a tenacious squad from Hamburg before the Blue Devils prevailed 7-4 in the Boys Lacrosse Class B Far West Regional.

With the game tied 3-3 late in the 3rd quarter via a Jason Chiodo goal, Victor responded with four of the games final five goals. Freshman attacker Joey Pezzimenti led the Blue Devils with three goals. Andre Russell added a pair of behind-the-back goals in the first half. Sam Lambert assisted on three Victor goals.

Victor will take on Vestal (IV) in the Class B state semifinal on Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30pm from St. John Fisher College in Pittsford.
