School leaders to work with Rochester police on security plans after fights at football game

The Rochester City School District plans to increase security after fights this weekend at Marina Auto Stadium during a football game.

Police had to dispersed crowds after the fights started in the stands and spilled out onto the concourse.

In an email Monday, the city says, following a meeting, school leaders and Mayor Warren agreed that security staff from East High and the district would directly work with Rochester police on security plans moving forward.

Saturday’s game between East High and Wilson was postponed at half-time due to the fights.
