Pal-Mac 9, Wayne 8
After falling into an early hole, the Red Raiders surged in front and never looked back, winning 9-8 over the Eagles in a game played at East Rochester due to field conditions.
Wayne led 2-0 in the first quarter before Pal-Mac scored the next four goals to take the lead. The Red Riaders led 7-4 at halftime, 9-5 after three quarters.
Grady Arnold led Pal-Mac with four goals and two assists. Jake Gallina added a pair of goals and three assists. Pal-Mac improves to 12-3 with the win
Andy Hamel registered a hat trick for the Eagles. Wayne’s record is now 11-4.
Fairport 4, Penn Yan 3
The Red Raiders prevailed in a tough battle between two of the winningest programs in Section V history.
Fairport opened with the game’s first three goals via two tallies from Colin Peers and one from Kole Stuver.
Penn Yan rallied back from a 3-0 halftime deficit with two goals in the third, one from Conner Fingar and one from Ayden Mowry.
Klay Stuver gave Fairport a 2-goal lead again with a strike in the fourth quarter. Fingar scored again to make it 4-3 Fairport, but Penn Yan would get no closer.
Fairport now sits at 13-2 this season while Penn Yan drops to 10-5.
