Chinonso Obokoh didn’t play much in his three years at Syracuse.
That will likely change next season.
The Kearney grad is transferring to St. Bonaventure for 2016-17. He is thought to have chosen the Bonnies over Rutgers.
Obokoh is expected to be eligible to play immediately.
About the move, Obokoh told SNY’s @AdamZagoria “I think ultimately it came down to having the ability to play meaningful minutes on a good team, that has great chance to make it to the NCAA tournament. When you pair that with the recent success the Bonnie’s staff has had had with their bigs, it was a no brainer.”
Obokoh finished his Syracuse career with 22 points, 39 rebounds, nine blocks and six steals in 156 total minutes.
He went to one Final Four and will receive an undergraduate degree from Syracuse this month.
