Three McQuaid players scored twice in a 7-2 victory over St. Francis Tuesday night on Clinton Avenue.
Dan Malloy opened the scoring less than ten minutes into the game. Brennan Brown fed Dominic Duncan for his first goal in the 17th minute.
Malloy got on the board thanks to a 20 yard shot that deflected and knuckled past the keeper. Duncan added a tricky penalty (off the crossbar and in) to make it 4-0 at the half.
Justin LaFountain had two and Brown scored one after the break for McQuaid.
The two goals by St. Francis were no small feat, even if both came after all seven McQuaid goals. The Knights had allowed only one goal COMBINED through their first seven games.
McQuaid is now 8-0. USA Today has them ranked first in the state and seventh in the country.
