LeRoy 15, Cal-Mum/Byron-Bergen 7

The longtime rivalry once again produced a close, hard-fought game, with the Oatkan Knights snatching an early lead and never letting go.

LeRoy scored the game’s opening points after C-M/B-B snapped a punt attempt out of the back of their own endzone. The Oatkan Knights followed that defensive surge with an interception by Reece Tresco that was returned to the Red Raiders 11-yard line. Kyler LaCarte punched it in moments later to make it 9-0 LeRoy.

Cal-Mum/Byron-Bergen got back in the game after Bryce Yockel took a run from his own 6-yard line to the LeRoy 15 for a gain of 79 yards. Yockel scored two plays later to make it 9-7 LeRoy early in the 2nd quarter.

The Oatkan Knights held onto their 2-point lead until the final three minutes of the game when Cineque Robinson punched in another LeRoy touchdown.

LeRoy improves to 2-2 while C-M/B-B falls to 1-3.
