Section V boys basketball repeated the girls triumphs on Saturday, winning three of their five regional games against Section VI with bids to the NY Final Four on the line.

Fairport took care of business early against Niagara Falls and the Class AA regional result was never in doubt, winning 63-32.

Mynderse was unable to hang on late in the Class B regional against Health Sciences, giving up the lead with under three minutes to play. The Falcons go on to win 50-47.

Northstar Christian used a 27-point second quarter to surge by Chautauqua Lake. The Knights topped the Thunderbirds 77-70 in the Class C regional to reach the Final Four for the first time since 2008.

CG Finney ran out of gas against Franklinville in the Class D regional, falling to the Panthers 63-40.
