Fairport blew open a tight game in the second quarter with a 17-2 run and coasted to a 56-39 win Wednesday night at Rush-Henrietta. 

The Raiders made four three pointers in a span of four minutes late in the first half to build a 29-9 lead. 

Brett Heininger scored nine points during the big second quarter run. 

It was Fairport’s second straight win and the Raiders are now 14-5. 

The Royal Comet have now lost seven of their last 11 and fell to 10-9. 

Both teams close the regular season Thursday night.
