Hilton held Irondequoit to five fourth quarter points on the Eagles’ home floor and scored a 43-36 Tuesday night.
The Cadets led 20-11 early in the second quarter, but suddenly went cold. Hilton did not have a field goal the final six-plus minutes of the half and only scored two in the first six minutes of the second half.
That allowed Irondequoit to go on an extended 20-5 run and take a 31-25 lead early in the third quarter on a Kara Cusker jumper.
Megan Letta answered with a three point play for Hilton and the Cadets dominated from there.
Hilton scored the final six points of the third quarter to get even at 31-all and won the fourth quarter 12-5. In all, it was an 18-5 run over the final ten minutes to win.
It was Hilton’s first win of the year. They are now 1-2.
Irondequoit suffered their first defeat and fell to 3-1.
