It might be a few days late, but Tre’Davious White has got a touching and huge Mother’s Day present waiting for his mom.

The Bills first round pick signed his contract on Thursday.

Terms were not disclosed, but the pick immediately after White, Taco Charlton, signed for just over seven million guaranteed with a $5.4 million dollar signing bonus.

Per the rookie salary structure, White should get slightly more.

White said on Thursday the first thing he’s going to do is buy his mom a house.

“I’m able to do some things for my mom and that’s a big deal to me,” White said. “I owe that to her for all the sacrifices that she’s made for me.”

White added that his mother has always rented and never owned her own house.

That’s about to change.

Zay Jones injured

Bills fans hope second round pick Zay Jones will someday be just as electric as Sammy Watkins.

Unfortunately, Jones is starting his Bills career with a Watkins’ like appearance on the injury report.

Jones suffered an injury of the first day of OTA’s Tuesday.

The team is describing the injury as a knee sprain. He did not participate in workouts Wednesday or Thursday. His status is week to week.

After the top tier of receivers in the 2017 draft like Corey Davis and Mike Williams, Jones was among the most coveted. He was a Bills fan favorite, particularly after the team hired Jones’ former wide receiver coach at East Carolina, Phil McGeoghan, to coach the same position in Buffalo.

The injury is not idea, but hardly concerning in mid-May if it is something Jones recovers from in short order.

Jones also signed his rookie contract Thursday afternoon. Only Dion Dawkins (2nd round pick number two) and Nate Peterman (5th round pick) remained unsigned among the Bills’ 2017 draft class.
