The Bills can compare notes on the flight back to Buffalo. 

Trying to get the license plate on the truck that ran them over. 

Or maybe it was a Carr. 

The Raiders rallied from 24-9 down to score 29 unanswered points and beat the Bills 38-24 in Oakland Sunday. 

Derek Carr passed for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead 37 yard score to Amari Cooper early in the 4th quarter. 

Latavius Murray also ran for two touchdowns. 

Khalil Mack hit Tyrod Taylor while throwing to force an interception that led to Oakland’s last TD. Mack followed with a sack/forced fumble/fumble recovery to kill Buffalo’s last real chance. 

“We made it hard for ourselves,” Taylor said. “We just didn’t do a good job of holding on to the momentum.”

Rex Ryan echoed his quarterback’s thoughts. 

“We got on our heels and we never bounced back.”

It was only the third time since 1998 that Buffalo led by 15 points or more and lost. Buffalo lost 21-0 first quarter leads at New England the final week of 2011 and in Miami in 2005. 

The Raiders improved to 10-2 with the win, while Buffalo fell to 6-6. 

Buffalo had an opportunity to tie the Dolphins for second place in the AFC East and retain some margin of error to make the playoffs down the stretch.

The Bills still have wild card hopes, but now they likely require a four-game winning streak to close the season. 

“It sucks man, it really does,” LeSean McCoy said. “Weird game. We had success and then we just collapsed. We felt like we had control… it happened so fast. Frustrated. You work so hard. I wanted to win so bad as a statement. The game was in our hands and we lost it.”

“There was a lack of execution,” Taylor said. “We just made it even tougher on ourselves, but these guys in the locker room, they’ll bounce back.”

Buffalo is now 6-6 and will host the Steelers next Sunday. 

Tight end Charles Clay missed the game after being with his wife during the birth of their baby girl over the weekend. Ryan admitted after the game it would have been nice to have him. 

Oakland is now 10-2 and just keeps trucking towards an apparent date with New England in the AFC Championship. 

Buffalo is just the latest piece of Raider roadkill.
