ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Democrat Demond Meeks will become the new Assemblyman for New York State 137th district.

Meeks ran unopposed in the General Election after emerging victorious in June’s Democratic primary.

Meeks will succeed longtime Assemblyman David Gantt, who died earlier this year.
