Weekend No. 2 of BLM protests in Rochester begins peacefully

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two protests are underway in downtown Rochester. The first one kicked off at the Liberty Pole at noon and the second one is expected to begin at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Court Street at 1 p.m.

So far the protests have remained peaceful. News 8 has a crew downtown.

Protesters will return to Martin Luther King Jr. Park for a special gathering at 5 p.m. They will gather with candles and flowers to celebrate the honor the lives lost at the hands of police officers.
