Amherst Police officers say there were hundreds of drunk minors roaming around outside of the Villas West complex, owned and operated by American Campus.

Both Amherst and UB Police officers responded to the party where a 20-year-old male student from downstate was found unresponsive after reportedly falling off the complex’s roof.

He was taken to ECMC with serious injuries but is now stable. No arrests were made at the party.

Villas West is one of several off-campus apartment options for UB students.

UB released a statement saying in short that “students who break the law or the school’s code of conduct could face consequences.”

The university says it’s working with the property manager and police to make sure this situation doesn’t happen again.

American Campus has yet to provide a comment on the incident.
