Two men swept underwater during Penfield flooding

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WROC) – Two men were uninjured after rough waters swept them underwater on Saturday in Irondequoit Creek in Penfield.

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said the two East Rochester men are 23 years old and were thrown from the raft they were in when the flooding occurred.

Deputies said the men were able to get themselves to shore a few hundred feet from where they went under.
