Donald Trump is in his home state tonight, where he hopes to re-assert himself as the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination.
Trump plans to meet the media at Trump Towers in Manhattan tonight when the polls close.
He is hoping not just for a win, but a convincing one in which he claims more than 50 percent of the votes.
Winning 50 percent of the statewide vote would give a candidate all of New York’s 14 at large delegates.
Winning more than 50 percent or more of the vote in any of New York’s 27 Congressional districts would give the candidate an additional three delegates.
Trump will need 1,237 to win the party nomination.
The former real estate mogul currently has an estimated 758 delegates, according to CNN.
He leads Ted Cruz, who has 553, and Kasich, who has 145.
In the past week, Trump and his Republican rivals have made campaign stops across New York State.
