More New Yorkers flocking to Florida

More New York residents are leaving, and the majority are finding themselves in the Sunshine State.

According to U.S. Census Bureau data released Monday, between July 2017 and July 2018, 63,722 New York residents moved south to Florida, the largest exodus of state residents in the country.

Overall, New York saw more residents leave than any other state with 566,476 people leaving last year. A large number of those residents, 124,624 to be exact, left New York County.
