ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was shot and killed in the area of North Plymouth Avenue and Ambrose Street, according to the Rochester Police Department.

RPD was called to the 700 block around 3:30 Sunday morning for the report of shots fired. They arrived and found a man in his 30s in the street with a gunshot wound in his torso. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at URMC.

No suspects are in custody, and investigators are looking into the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

The area of North Plymouth Ave. was blocked to traffic with police tape as RPD continued to investigate, but has since reopened to traffic.
