Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has officially invited President Trump to give his State of the State address next week.
The president had initially planned to give the address this Tuesday, but plans changed as the shutdown lingered and Pelosi said she wouldn’t authorize the address.
Friday, however, leaders were able to make a temporary agreement to re-open the government for three weeks.
In a letter on Monday, Pelosi states that the president has agreed to give the address next Tueday, February 5.
