Pennsylvania man charged with having sexual relations with a dog

(WBRE-TV) A Pennsylvania man is charged with having sex with an animal.

In September, 25-year-old Justin Kraeber of East Stroudsburg was arrested on unrelated charges of sexually assaulting a child.

He’s been free on bail, but police say a New Jersey woman alerted them that Kraeber recorded himself engaged in sex acts with a dog.

Kraeber is back in prison following Friday’s arrest.

Gov. Cuomo proposes to expand home ownership in historically redlined communities

ALBANY, N.Y. (WTEN) - Gov. Cuomo announced a targeted package of reforms to increase homeownership rates in traditionally redlined communities as part of the 2021 State of the State. The package will allow low- and moderate-income borrowers, particularly households of color, to achieve homeownership and put historically underserved communities on track to close the racial wealth gap.

The reforms will increase the number of community-based lenders who offer State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA) loans in low-income communities, increase down payment assistance in underserved areas of the state, and grant SONYMA flexibility to make mortgage modifications in times of crisis so borrowers can remain in their homes.

SUNY’s university hospital hubs distributed 100% of four weeks of vaccine allocations

ALBANY, N.Y. (WTEN) – SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras announced that SUNY’s three university hospital hubs have administered 100% of their weeks 1-4 COVID-19 vaccine allocations. Since receiving their first allotments on Dec. 15, Downstate Health Sciences University, Stony Brook University Hospital, and Upstate University Hospital have administered more than 32,000 vaccine doses to frontline medical personnel and community members deemed eligible for vaccination by the New York State Department of Health.

“Over the last four weeks, SUNY’s three university hospitals have proven that they can efficiently administer the vaccine to brave frontline medical personnel and eligible members of their surrounding communities,” said Chancellor Malatras. “Moving quickly to get people vaccinated is the key to winning the COVID-19 war and returning to normalcy. I am proud of our university hospitals and other facilities for successfully playing such a pivotal role in this massive operational undertaking.”
