ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) – New York State now has a new way of tracking harmful and toxic algal blooms in waterways by launching an online notification and reporting system.

The reporting system features an interactive map that is updated daily with reports of harmful algal blooms along with a new public reporting form.

Each yellow icon on the map are blooms reported within the last two weeks.
