Weather forecast: Sun shines as the cold continues this afternoon

The sun is starting to peak through the clouds this afternoon as snow showers diminish. Cold air remains as afternoon highs remain in the 20s and wind chills stay in the lower teens. A storm system passing by to the north will allow for some warmer air heading into Thursday. A weak boundary will slide by as well that brings the chance for a slight rain/snow mix.

Former Rochester police Chief La’Ron Singletary to be deposed in public session on Daniel Prude case

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Former Rochester Police Chief La'Ron Singletary will participate in a public deposition regarding the Rochester Police Department's handling of Daniel Prude's death.

Singletary's deposition is part of an ongoing independent investigation, initiated by Rochester City Council, and is scheduled to take place no later than December 15.

A time for “Uncomfortable Conversations”

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Blackfriars Theatre and Impact Interactive are collaborating for a virtual workshop called "Uncomfortable Conversations" this Sunday, January 24 at 1 p.m.

Jonathan Ntheketha of Impact Interactive, the workshop facilitator, discussed the idea behind "Uncomfortable Conversations" Wednesday during News 8 at Noon.
