Monroe HS honors teen who drowned

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The family of the teen who drowned at Turning Point Park in Rochester over the summer celebrated his life on Saturday afternoon.

Thirteen-year-old Ja’Vir Hampton loved football at James Monroe High School. After his death, the football team dedicated its season to Hampton. The coach invited Hampton’s family to watch the first home game on Saturday.
