The Rochester Education Foundation is helping prospective college students and their parents navigate the tricky process of applying for financial aid.
They’re hosting the year’s final FAFSA Fest from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at the Monroe Community College Damon City Campus at 228 E. Main St.
FAFSA Fest is a free event designed to help city students planning to attend college in the fall complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Volunteers will be available to answer financial aid questions and provide one-on-one help understanding college costs.
Students and their parents or guardians should bring either their 2015 Federal and N.Y. State Tax returns or their 2014 tax returns and a list of 2015 income and recent pay stubs. It is recommended that both the student and one of their parents or guardians attend.
