Xerox workers pack food baskets for Operation Food Basket

Current and former Xerox employees are donating their time to help feed hundreds of local people in need this holiday season.

More than 450 volunteers are working for more than 14 straight hours, packing and delivering more than 45,000 pounds of food for Operation Food Basket.

Xerox and its partners raised over $50,000 this year for the event and all of that money is used for the baskets. all the supplies needed are donated to the cause.

“We provide groceries for about 2,000 people for a week or longer, we all kinds of groceries, food items cleaning products, paper products, and we guarantee that their food will last at least a week,” said Bernadette Durman, Operation Food Basket.

More than 1,800 people in the Rochester area will benefit from this year’s event. Thousands of homeless people will also receive hot meals during 2019 thanks to the efforts of these volunteers.
