The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says that a woman is in serious condition following a car accident in Victor on Sunday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Deborah Magovero, 55, of Canandaigua was found unresponsive in cardiac arrest after crossing over the centerline on Route 96 in Victor.

The accident happened shortly after noon on Sunday.

After crossing through the centerline, Magovero struck a Dodge Caravan that was operated by Catherine Blumenstock, 47, of Penfield. The impact of the collision caused the Caravan to collide with a Ford Explorer that was being operated by Ernest Every, 34, of Victor.

Upon arrival, deputies and firefighters extricated Magovero from her vehicle and initiated CPR. The Sheriff’s Office says that a Victor Fire Department AED was used to shock her at the scene and she regained a pulse. Magovero was then transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Victor Farmington Ambulance.

The Sheriff’s Office says that there were four children in Every’s vehicle, including a five year old that was treated at the scene by medics. There were also two children in the Blumenstock vehicle, of which a 15 year old female was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for neck pain.

There were no other injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says that it appears that Magovero suffered a medical event prior to the crash, causing her to lose control of her vehicle.

Main Street, Route 96, in Victor was closed for two hours between Church Street and School Street.
