Gorham, N.Y. (WROC) - A woman was taken to the hospital by Mercy Flight following a crash in Ontario County Tuesday night.
The sheriff's office says the crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 18 and Lake to Lake Road in the Town of Gorham.
Investigators tell News 8 an SUV being driven by Edward Fraser, 67, of Churchville, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an SUV being driven by Susan Hamilton, 75, of Penn Yan.
Hamilton was partially ejected from her vehicle despite the fact she was wearing her seatbelt. She was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight for treatment of a collapsed lung, but police say it appears her injuries are non-life-threatening.
Mr. Fraser was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua by ambulance for treatment of a hand injury.
The intersection was shut down for more than an hour while officials cleared the scene.
Deputies say neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the crash.
