Woman accused of leaving husband to die in Lake Ave. crash indicted

The woman accused of leaving her husband to die after a crash that she caused  has been indicted by a grand jury.

A grand jury has handed up  an indictment against 47-year-old Malachia Wallace-Johnson for leaving the scene of accident resulting n death.

The crash happened on Lake Avenue in Rochester back in February. Police say Wallace-Johnson was driving drunk when she crashed her car on Lake Avenue in Rochester back in February.

According to officers, she left the scene before police arrived. Her husband, 50-year-old Maurice Johnson, died at the hospital several hours later.

Wallace’s license was revoked in 2016 for a previous DWI.
