Two public meetings are scheduled for Thursday to discuss RG&E’s response to the recent windstorm, which caused hundreds of thousands of power outages.
The windstorm caused major damage across the region. Some homes were destroyed by falling trees and power lines were downed as high-speed winds swept across the area.
Governor Andrew Cuomo criticized RG&E’s response, and asked for meetings to be held with RG&E and the public to find out how they could do better, and get feedback from the community.
Members of the public are invited to attend the two public hearings at which time they may share their comments.
The public hearings will be held as follows:
Thursday, April 13 at Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus in Building 3, Forum Room at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
