William Lewek, the doctor convicted of burying Matthew Straton’s body his backyard, was denied parole on Tuesday.

In October 2013, Straton, 31, went missing. His body was discovered on January 15 in Lewek’s backyard. Lewek told police he hid the body after Straton died while the two were doing drugs.

Lewek’s next chance for parole is April 2018. However, he could be eligible for release in December 2017, because he will have met his minimum sentence.
