Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Lyons man and a Rose woman on Saturday for holding a woman against her will.
Deputies arrested 38-year-old Elijah Jenkins and 40-year-old Amber Miller.
Deputies say the kidnapping took place on February 20 in the towns of Rose, Arcadia, and in the village of Newark for three days until the woman agreed to sign her truck over to them.
It’s alleged that Jenkins displayed a pistol and demanded that the female sign over her truck to him or he would harm her and her family.
Deputies say that Jenkins then stole the title to the truck and the truck from the female victim.
Jenkins was arrested for, Kidnapping in the second degree, Robbery in the first degree, and two counts of Grand Larceny in the fourth degree. He was arraigned in front of Village of Newark and he was remanded to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
Miller was arrested at her home. Deputies say she became combative with deputies and refused to cooperate while being placed under arrest.
Miller was arrested for Kidnapping in the second degree, Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration.
She was remanded to jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 insurance bond.
Jenkins and Miller were served a stay-away order of protection protecting the victim at the time of arraignment.
