Troopers are looking for a contractor who they say got $15,000 for a project and then took the money and ran.

Investigator says 52-year-old Samuel Benigni of Livonia signed a written contract for construction work, but never completed the job.

A warrant has been issued for Benigni. He faces charges of grand larceny.

Troopers believe he could be in the Livonia area or in Rochester.

He is described as 5-feet-10-inches tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call state police at 585-658-9495 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
