The Rochester Police Department is investigating a fight between two on-duty police officers on Monday.
We’re told the fight happened around 9 a.m. on Conkey Avenue and Avenue A.
In a news release Thursday afternoon, Rochester police said they were investigating an “altercation” involving two police officers. Police say the incident is under internal investigation. The officers involved, Brad Pike and Jordan Bracey, now face punishment ranging from reprimand to termination.
The department writes: “The incident that occurred is unfortunate and is not a reflection on the rest of the men and women of the Rochester Police Department. We view this as an isolated incident between these two officers.”
In radio calls leading up to the incident, an officer is heard calling dispatch, asking them to sent another unit to Avenue A and Conkey.
Officer: “Can you reach out to 217. Have him meet me at Avenue A and Conkey.”
Officer 2: “217, you don’t need the dispatcher to do that. I’m en route.”
Later, sounds of a scuffle are heard.
Dispatch: “227, 217, can you guys confirm that you’re all set? I got a call for officers in trouble.”
At that point, one of the officers told dispatch they were set.
