In-between the rain Friday night, vendors were busy setting up for the 2017 Park Ave summer art festival in Rochester.
The event kicks off Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
The annual tradition brings people from all over the region to enjoy one of Rochester’s premiere neighborhoods.
Event organizer Jeff Springut said though the set up started off a little soggy, he’s confident people will be out to enjoy the festival.
“Usually everyone ducks into a tent when the rain comes and then they duck out back into the street. The street is smoking from the humidity and it’s all good.”
Vendors like Alyn Federico said they’re not worried, either.
“Of course you always have those worries that everything is going to get blown away and then your best laid plans will fall short,” he said. “[But] my tent has never blown away before. This is my lucky tent.”
The festival runs until Sunday. It will open at 10 a.m and end at 5 p.m.
