Upsetting yearbook photos also found at Fisher

Local News

Wednesday, St. John Fisher College released a statement apologizing for, “deeply disturbing and offensive photos” found in past yearbooks.

While it is unclear as to what exactly is demonstrated in these photos, Fisher included in the statement that, “given other recent incidents that have involved members of our campus community, we have redoubled our efforts around issues of race, diversity, inclusion, and equity.”

This comes after RIT issued an apology for images uncovered in old yearbooks, including a photograph from a 1979 yearbook of people dressed as Ku Klux Klansmen, one holding a noose, with a person dressed in blackface.
