Tyquan Rivera is expected to be set free on July 9th after he was convicted of shooting officer Anthony Diponzio in 2009.

Rivera was 14 years old when he shot officer Diponzio.

He was sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison, and has been denied parole three times.

Rivera’s release is a conditional one after serving two thirds of his maximum sentence.

Following his release, Rivera will move to an approved residence in Erie County and remain on parole until January 2019.
