Two arrested for murder on Lyell Ave. last week

Two suspects have been arrested in a homicide that occurred on Lyell Avenue on September 14.

The two suspects are 38 year old Tremaine Coley of Rochester and 38 year old Delvern Duran of Rochester. Coley has been charged with murder and robbery. Duran was taken into custody by the tactical unit on September 15. He is charged with robbery.

A joint operation was conducted by the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Rochester Police Department’s Tactical Unit and SWAT Team. As a result of the operation Coley was taken into custody without incident on September 20. 

The incident occurred on September 14 when officers reported to 413 Lyell Avenue for a report of a person shot. When police arrived Tasmere Kenard, the victim, was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the University of Rochester Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. After an investigation it was revealed that the victim was shot and robbed by two suspects.
