Troopers, boaters save man who jumped from Bay Bridge

Good Samaritans assisted troopers in a rescue of a man who jumped off the Bay Bridge Friday morning.

Troopers and Webster police were called to the bridge around 9:15 a.m. for the incident. At the scene, investigators spotted a man in the bay. They also spotted a boat not far away.

After making contact, troopers say the boater were able to find the man and pull him out of the water.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries and other evaluations.
