A local restaurant extended its thanks to the people who have been working tirelessly just to keep things running during the two major storms that have hit the Rochester region.
TRATA, located in the Culver Road Armory, offered free beer to utility workers on Wednesday, as well as members of repair crews and postal workers.
It was their way of saying thanks for helping them stay in business.
“There’s definitely a couple postal workers at the bar so far, and we’ve also had some good recognition on social media,” said Mike Wojtowicz, the general manager at TRATA. “Really it’s just meant to be positive and just our way as a company to be able to say ‘thank you’ to everyone.”
Many utility crews worked extended shifts, day and night, to restore power to the tens of thousands who lost service because of last week’s wind storm.
