ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - The man accused in the shooting deaths of two people on Thurston Road last month pleaded not guilty to charges in court Monday morning.
In court, friends and family of the victims had to be removed as the yelled out at Shaw.
Police announced the arrest of Samuel Shaw over the weekend. They say Shaw opened fire in the early morning hours of June 20, killing 30-year-old William Gibson and 28-year-old Anthony Robertson while they were sitting in a 2003 Honda Accord in a parking lot at Brooks Avenue.
Officers say a woman sitting in another vehicle was also injured in the attack. In court documents, police say she is now paralyzed from the waist down as a result of the shooting.
Shaw is charged with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. He is being held without bail in Monroe County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on July 27.
