People lined the streets of Rochester Saturday for the 42nd annual Tops St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Over 4,000 people marched in 130 different floats. It was chilly out but that did not stop people from heading out and enjoying the festivities.
“Snow and rain might keep us away but this is Rochester weather so we love this, it’s a great time,” said parade goer Tony Guzzetta.
Parade participant Paul Wilson said the crowd kept him going through the cold.
“It was freezing but the crowd was very exuberant and it really gave you a desire to keep going and show them what you can really do,” Wilson said.
Some people said they have been coming to the parade for years, but it was Larie Banizo’s first time. She’s from Spain- and this was also her first St. Patrick’s Day and her first time in the United States.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the enivornment, how you celebrate it and to see the parade of course,” Banizo said.
Everyone got the full treatment- whether they’re Irish or not.
