The 14th annual Cheers for Children fundraiser held Thursday night

Local News
It’s one of the biggest events of the year for the Bivona Child Advocacy Center.
The 14th annual Cheers for Children fundraiser was held at Artisan Works Thursday night.
Around 500 people came out to enjoy live music, craft beer, food, and other entertainment.
Bivona Executive Director, Mary Whittier, says that all the work they do helping child abuse victims wouldn’t be possible without events like this.

“We’ve seen over 16,000 children in twelve and a half years, so 60% of our income as an organization comes from the community,” said Whittier. “So an event like this, event like tonight, is huge for us. Our goal is to net between $45,000 and $50,000.”

All of the money raised will go directly to providing comprehensive services for children who experience abuse.
