A teen is accused of attempting to rob a Greece police officer who was on duty on Dewey Avenue.

According to police, 16-year-old Christopher Morse III and another person tried to sneak up behind the officer (standing) in the area of Stone Road just after midnight on Monday, April 30.

Police say another officer, seated in a patrol car, heard Morse and another man talking, saying, “Do him, do him.”

The other officer got out and was able to take Morse into custody. However, police say the other suspect managed to get away.

Morse is charged with attempted robbery. He is being held in Monroe County Jail.

Police are still looking for the other suspect, who has not be identified.
