Suspect in fatal Hertel Street fire indicted on murder, arson charges

Lawrence Dash, the suspect in a fatal house fire on Hertel Street in November, has been indicted on murder and arson charges according to court paperwork.

Dash has been charged with second degree murder, first and second degree arson, two counts of second degree assault, and second degree attempted assault.

Champagne Singleton died as a result of the house fire, and six others were injured, including multiple children.

Dash was arrested in Buffalo on November 17 after being named as a person of interest in the arson case.
