A special launch party for the Nintendo Labo was held at the Strong Museum on Friday.
Labo is Nintendo’s latest product, made entirely of cardboard.
Once pieced together, it interacts with the Nintendo Switch and the game being played on the screen.
The event gave guests the opportunity to be the first in the nation to go hands on with the new toys.
“It encourages that multi-generational interactivity where you have the parent or the caretaker working side by side with the child. And it’s great for all ages,” said Lisa Feinstein with the Strong Museum.
Nintendo partnered with the museum for this event. They donated the Labo, along with five Nintendo Switches that will go to an after school program through the Rochester City Library.
