There have been more attempts to pass legislation regarding the tracking of sex offenders.

The State Senate passed a bill that would require the State to notify cities, towns, or villages, if a sex offender is transferred from a state facility to a residential program.

The superintendent of the community’s school district would also be notified.

The Assembly still has to vote on the bill.
